KAREN L. O'NEIL Mrs. Karen O'Neil of Lincoln Village in Port Washington passed away early Sunday morning March 1 2015 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 73 years old. Karen was born in Waukesha on October 2 1941 daughter of Orlie and Lucille Staab Bossell. She attended local schools and graduated from Waukesha South High School with the Class of 1959. On July 13 1968 Karen was united in marriage with John O'Neil at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Waukesha. The couple moved to Saukville in 1971. They later moved to Barnum in western Wisconsin and Sussex before moving back to the Port Washington area in 2014. Mrs. O'Neil was a caregiver for special needs children for many years loving each of them as her own. She enjoyed making people laugh cooking baking potluck dinners and spending time with people. She was very generous and everyone who knew her loved her. Karen also liked trips to the casino to play slots. She loved her grandkids dearly but her kids always came first in her heart. She is survived by her husband John and eight of their children: Tim (Ninon) O'Neil of Cedar Rapids IA Brian (Kathy) O'Neil of Holmen Kevin (fianc Renee Depies) Siemers of Lima Kevin (Traci) O'Neil also of Cedar Rapids IA Kim Siemers of Cedar Grove Kari Abitz of Oak Creek Christine (Michael) Ziglinski of Milwaukee and Dennis (Michelle) O'Neil of Belgium. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren many great-grandchildren 1 brother her furry canine friend Buddy other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her son John O'Neil Jr. her parents an infant sister and foster brother Bruce Bossell. Funeral Services will be held at 6PM on Friday March 6th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington (1600 W. Grand Ave.). Rev. Monte Haun will preside the service.
