Mrs. Karen J. Haack of the Town of Belgium passed away Saturday morning March 15 2014 at Hilltop View of Fredonia. She was 75 years old. Karen was born April 7 1938 in Des Plaines IL the daughter of James and Evelyn Jorgenson Ritchie. On December 30 1977 she was united in marriage with Robert Haack in West Bend. Karen was passionate about antique dealing and was able to open her own antique shop in Michigan. Karen had been a member of the Port Washington Yacht Club Washington County 4H Saddle Club and the Waukesha Kennel Club. She was an animal lover and had kept donkeys chickens horses and dogs. She also proudly bred and showed Dalmatians. Karen is survived by her husband Robert of the Town of Belgium and her two children: Renee (Mike) Powers of Albany WI and Matt (Debbie) Feyrer of Wilmington NC. She is further survived by 4 step-children: Stephanie Zavadil of Seattle WA Robert William Haack of Pasadenia CA David William Haack of Cassel Berry FL and Steven W (Jill) Haack of Belton MO; 4 grandchildren: Jon and Jared Powers Jack Zavadil and Eden Haack sister Carol Ehnert of Des Plaines IL and her children Julie Sue and Steve other relatives and many friends. According to Karen's wishes private family services were held. Memorials suggested to the ASPCA in Karen's name. The Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium is honored to be serving the family.
