K. Violette Goelter Violette Goeltzer of Port Washington and formerly of Milwaukee passed away Monday evening August 5 2013 at her home. She was 106 years old. Violette was born November 25 1906 in Milwaukee the daughter of Jacob and Katherine Schunck Weingart. On April 5 1930 she was united in marriage with Otto Goeltzer at her Milwaukee home. Otto preceded her in death in 1964 and she moved to Port Washington in 1979. While living in Milwaukee Violette was a very active and devoted member of Zion United Church of Christ. She taught Christian Education class for 26 years was Treasurer and later President of the Women's Guild sang in the choir worked on the Mission Board and worked as the church secretary for 13 years. Violette was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed reading crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and grand-dogs who she enjoyed babysitting. Violette is survived by her daughter Janet (the late William) Pfleger of Scottsdale AZ and three grandsons: Eric (Tobey) Pfleger of Grafton John (Marcella) Pfleger of Fredonia and David of Phoenix AZ. She is further survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Liesel Amelia Liam Ellis and Gabriella nieces nephews cousins here and in Germany and many dear friends. Funeral Services will take place at 2PM on Friday August 9th at Forest Home Cemetery Landmark Chapel 2405 W. Forest Home Ave. Milwaukee. The family will receive visitors at the Landmark Chapel on Friday from 1:30-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Zion United Church of Christ 3301 S. 76 St. Milwaukee WI 53219 or charity of choice.
