Ms. June "Carol" Kartheiser, formerly of Port Washington, passed away Saturday morning, August 13, 2016 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. She was 83 years old. Carol was born April 26, 1933 in Port Washington, the daughter of Nicholas and Caroline (nee Schmit) Walsh. She graduated from Port Washington High School. Carol was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church. She had enjoyed sewing and baking. Carol is survived by her daughters: Rae (Thomas) Rosko of Gurnee, IL, Dawn (James) Smith of Prospect Heights, IL and Hope (Jeff) Swayne of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Melissa (Jeff) Young, Lauren Rosko and Devon, Declan, Romy, Remy and Dirk Swayne, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her son Scot Kartheiser, granddaughter Nicole Johnston, and her brother Arlin Walsh. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 11:30AM at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington with Father Pat Wendt officiating.
