Mrs. June Leppla of Cedarburg passed away December 22 2014 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 87 years old. June was born in Kenosha on April 8 1927 daughter of Arnold Hill and Adela Kurth Hill. June and her family moved to Cedarburg in 1939. On June 13 1959 she was united in marriage to Miles Leppla at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. June worked for 7 years as a crossing guard on Washington Ave. in front of the Community gym. After starting her family she went to work in the cafeteria at Cedarburg High School for over 24 years retiring in 1992. June also worked at the Ozaukee County Fair in the Open Class Building from 1968 to 1992. June loved gardening sewing crafting cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Leppla is survived by her three children: Jane (Earl) Figge of Waupun Neil (Betty) Leppla of Richfield and Ray (Sherri) Leppla of Cedar Grove. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren her sister Gladys Grulke of Oconomowoc 2 sisters-in-law Harriet Leppla of West Bend and Delores Leppla of Cedarburg nieces nephews other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents her husband Miles and an infant son Roy. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 29th at 6 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church N60W6047 Columbia Road Cedarburg with Pastor Brent Halverson officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the CHURCH Monday December 29th from 4-6 PM.
