Obituary

Mrs. Julie Sutinen of Saukville passed away Wednesday morning, February 26, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 62 years old.

Julie was born in Milwaukee on July 23, 1962, the daughter of Richard and Joan (nee Swanson) Nason. The family later moved to the Fredonia area and Julie attended local schools, graduating from Ozaukee High School in 1980.

On March 30, 1984, Julie was united in marriage with Gregory Sutinen in Port Washington. The couple lived in Grafton before settling into their current home in Saukville. They were blessed with three children.

Mrs. Sutinen had been a Customer Service Associate at the Walmart in Saukville for thirty years before taking a customer service position at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, where she had worked for the last two years.

Julie loved reading a good book, especially thrillers and mysteries by authors like Stephen King or Jodi Picoult, while curled up next to her cats. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, travel, and shopping trips with her children. Listening to good music (meaning anything made earlier than 2000) and drinking iced coffee always brought a smile to her face. Julie was a consummate collector of dollhouses and miniatures. She would often design and make the dollhouse herself, and loved finding each of the items to place inside. She was always on the hunt for new items to add to her collection!

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Greg, their children Joshua (Hillary) Sutinen of St. Clair, MI, Zachary (Alisa) Sutinen of Glendale, and Kelly (Daniel) Hanley of Milwaukee, and grandson James. She is further survived by brother Ken (Leslie) Nason of Cedarburg, sisters Teri Geis of Port Washington, Nancy Anderson and Patti (Bob) Charnitz, both of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Per Julie's wishes, private family services were held.

The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
