JULIA J. SCHANEN Julia Schanen age 91 years of 1268 Hwy. 13 Friendship WI formerly of Saukville died Tuesday morning September 30 2003 at her residence. She was born October 31 1911 in Saukville daughter of John and Hattie Lorence Link. On December 28 1929 she married William H. Schanen at St. Mary's Catholic Church Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Schanen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Adams WI. She was a member of Landt-Thiel American Legion Auxilary and enjoyed crocheting and baking cookies for her grandchildren. She is survived by 3 children Fritz (Clara) Schanen of Friendship Ruth (Eugene) Blecha of Wild Rose and Thomas Schanen. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren 30 great grandchildren 1 brother Clarence Link of Port Washington 1 sister Hattie Peiffer of Saukville 2 daughters in law Rose Watry and Rosemary Ansty nieces nephews other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday evening October 3 7 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Port Washington.
