Ms. Judianne Cygnor passed away at Lincoln Village in Port Washington, WI, on Wednesday September 14, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old.

Judy was born in Middleton, CT on June 4, 1943, daughter of Vincent B. and Frances (nee Ciaburri) Rutledge. She attended local schools and graduated from Middleton High School. Judy was united in marriage with John E. Cygnor and the couple were blessed with two children.

Judy and her family moved to Illinois in 1976 where she worked as a Computer Systems Analyst at Sundstrand. She later attended Beloit College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in English summa cum laude in 1991. Judy earned her Master's degree in Creative Writing with an emphasis on poetry from the University of California, Davis. She moved back to Wisconsin in 1994 where she worked as a systems analyst for AT&T. She retired in 2007.

Judy was an avid reader and passionate writer of poetry. She adored her grandchildren. She relished a good game of euchre with her friends. She also enjoyed needlework and the fine arts. Judy was a strong supporter of women's rights.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Jennifer Cygnor of Bremerton, WA, son John (Melinda) Cygnor of Port Washington, WI, grandchildren Guy (Nicole) and Amber (fiancé Jared Carlton) Cygnor, and great-grandchildren Jackson, Caleb and Zelena. She is further survived by sister Kathleen (partner Thomas Barilla) Rutledge and brother Vincent (Cynthia) Rutledge, both of Connecticut, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services are planned for early October in Connecticut. She will be laid to rest in Saint Sebastian's Cemetery.
