Longtime Cedarburg resident Joyce A. Wedward passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton on Tuesday August 20, 2019. She was 86. Joyce was born in Milwaukee on April 14, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Florence (Nee Moore) Rouiller. After graduating in 1951 from Rufus King High School, she was united in marriage to Gene Wedward on April 18, 1953.
Survivors include her children, Lori (Gerald) Kender, Alisa Noack and Dale Wedward; grandchildren, Audra Noack, Andy (Celena) Noack, Theresa Neumann, Stephanie Kelley, Thomas Brzykcy and Ashley Noack; great-grandchildren, Marcus Noack, Madyson Noack, Rayna Jean Noack, Kiersten Vinson, Bailey Wilson, Payton Van Sluys and Leo Neumann; sisters, Dorothy Welke and Judith Showers, further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and fiance Arno Ledebuhr.
A Remembrance Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4-6:00 PM and at a reception following the service. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Joyce was an independent person with an infectious positive attitude. In addition to gardening and dancing, she loved to travel, both overseas and around the United States.
