Joyce J. Lubner, 85, of Fredonia, WI, passed away on June 4, 2024, in Saukville, WI. She was born on June 10, 1938, in Burlington, WI, to her parents, Frank and Dorothy (Vohs) Bayer.

She enjoyed living on a farm during her childhood and remained a hard worker throughout her life. Joyce worked as an assembler at Rexnord Corporation up to her retirement at the age of 64. She married George Gerth in June of 1960; Joyce was later divorced and married Victor Lubner in May of 1974.

Joyce was a beloved member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia, where she found solace and community in her faith.

She enjoyed activities such as gardening, caring for her cats, crafting, fishing, spending time with fellow seniors, and feeding the masses at family and church gatherings. Joyce's neighbors often enjoyed the surplus of vegetables from her garden.

Joyce is survived by her children Frank (Sue) Gerth, Mike Gerth (Jean Queisser), and Vickie Lubner as well as her granddaughter Samantha (Jacob) Neumann and her sister, Shirley Berndt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Victor, and siblings Ardell Bayer, James Bayer (twin), Orville Bayer, and Lorraine Lange.

A Memorial Service will take place at 5:00pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave, Fredonia, WI 53021. Rev. Marshal Frisque will preside. The family will receive visitors at the church from 3:00-5:00pm. Joyce will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Parish Cemetery on Friday June 21, 2024
