Obituary

Mrs. Joyce I. Vahsholtz (nee Charles) passed away Friday morning June 17 2011 at her home in Cedarburg surrounded by her family. She was 85 years old. Joyce was born April 2 1926 in Brockhollands England the daughter of William and Blanche Wintle Charles. She came to the United States in 1947. Joyce worked at St. Michael's Hospital in Milwaukee as an LPN for over 20 years. On July 11 1971 she was united in marriage with Herbert Vahsholtz. He preceded her in death in 1986. Joyce was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Cedarburg where she was involved with Bible Studies and many other church activities. She had been a member of the Trans-Atlantic Brides and Parents Association and the Northshore Christian Women's Club volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon and was a generous supporter of many organizations and charities. Joyce is survived by her children: Janet (James) Kalmadge of Poughkeepsie NY Pattie Simon of Grafton and William (Sandra) Rolbiecki of Willow AK. She is further survived by grandchildren: Sheree (Marc) Dinkel Nathan Simon Kenneth (Christine Pavel-Ligon) Ligon Alicia Rudd and John Rolbiecki great-grandchildren Dawson and Reagan Dinkel sister-in-law Beryl Ward of Bream England nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Blanche her husband Herbert brother Desmond Ward and sister Daphne Moon. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Monday June 20 at Heritage Baptist Church W51 N776 Keup Road in Cedarburg. She will be laid to rest beside Herbert at Immanuel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday morning from 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Heritage Baptist Church.
