Joyce Marie Hoynik went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was 92 years old. Joyce was born on September 27, 1932, in Wausau, Wisconsin to parents Lloyd and Florence (nee Netzel) Kurtzweil.
Joyce graduated from Mosinee High School Class of 1953. Following graduation, she attended the Accredited School of Beauty Culture-Milwaukee.
Joyce was united in marriage with Steve W. Hoynik on October 1, 1955, at St. Florian Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together they had a daughter. She was a devoted stay at home mom to Beth. Joyce was also proudly involved with the Christian Mother's association at St. Florians.
At age 42, she attained her Medical Assistant Certification from Concordia Education Center-Milwaukee. She then became the Cardiac Technician at Children's Hospital Wisconsin, providing compassion and care to babies and kiddos for two decades.
Joyce was an extraordinary celebration planner and organizer. She was also the driving force behind rehabbing numerous residential properties over the years.
Joyce and her family lived for sailing Lake Michigan on their boat "Twilite". She also had a lifelong passion for Figure Skating that she passed on to her daughter. Joyce was always a Dog Mom and Grammy to Dali.
Joyce is survived by her loving daughter, Beth, brother Jerry, niece and nephews, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Steve of 53 years, many relatives and friends.
We will all forever remember her pink cheeks and matching pink scarf.
