Joyce Megna of Port Washington formerly of Milwaukee passed away in the evening hours of Friday June 8 2012 at Heritage Nursing Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old. Joyce was born in Milwaukee on May 20 1928 daughter of Leonard Bowen and Mabel Heil Bowen. She worked as an assembly-line worker for AC Delco for 31 years until her retirement in 1982. Joyce was a member of the United Auto Workers and enjoyed traveling playing bingo and card games and watching television. She is survived by her three granddaughters: Michelle (David) Brouillette of Fredonia Jennifer (Scott) Grosjean of Chicago and Kimberly (Mark) Fetzer of Cottage Grove. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren: Benjamin Ethan Abigail Chase Lucas and Adeline two brothers Delbert (Pat) Bowen of Sussex and Allen Bowen of Milwaukee her sister-in-law Lois Bowen of Shorewood nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Angie Coutley great-grandson Jack Fetzer one brother Leonard Bowen and two sisters Beverly Hoke and Patty Bowen. Funeral services celebrating Joyce's life will be held on Tuesday June 12th at 6:30 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave in Port Washington. Pastor Marilyn Borchardt will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 12th at the funeral home from 4:30 until 6:30.
