Joyann Marie Benz of Saukville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 58. She was born in Port Washington to Edward and Theresa Benz on January 24, 1960. Joy loved the outdoors. She spent much of her time on her ATV and could also be found fishing at various locations around the state. Joy was a great friend to many people and would be the first to lend a helping hand if you found yourself in need. Joy spent a lot of time of traveling between Saukville and Wautoma to care for her mother. She loved animals (especially dogs) and there was seldom a time she was without one or more of her four-legged friends. She was recently preceded in death by her chihuahua Buddy. Joyann leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her best. Joy is survived by her mother Theresa Benz, her special friend Kathy Cole, Aunts and Uncles, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Edward. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Eernisse Funeral Home Cedarburg (1167 Washington Ave. Cedarburg, WI 53012) with Rev. Linda Westphal-Buth presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saukville. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Tailwaggers 911 in Grafton (2137 A Valley Court, Grafton, WI 53024) or a charity of your choosing.
