Joseph William "Joe Willie" Nevsimal was born into eternal life on November 10, 2024, one week shy of

his 42nd birthday, due to an unknown heart condition.

Born November 17, 1982, Joe was the youngest of three boys, which meant he learned from an early age

how to master the art of self-defense. He spent his childhood honing a profound and enduring love of pop

culture. Everything that defined life in the 1980s and '90s became powerful touchpoints that ultimately

defined him. Star Wars, G.I. Joe, video games, action movies, Starting Lineup, TMNT , professional

wrestling. And sports! In fact, rarely was Joe seen without a basketball in one hand and an action figure in

the other (a description as befitting 12-year-old Joe as it was 41-year-old Joe).

Joe could spend hours sitting by a bonfire, regaling you with his perfect recall of every line ever uttered by

Jean-Claude Van Damme spanning the entirety of his career, or challenging your perception of reality with

his encyclopedic knowledge of Ancient Aliens and musings on the Nephilim.

A 2001 graduate of Cedarburg High School, Joe was an incredible athlete who showcased his talent on

the football field, the baseball diamond, and most especially on the basketball court where he shined,

modeling his game after Allen Iverson. Channeling A.I., he espoused the same authenticity in his own life,

learning to sew and crafting his own wardrobe from scratch, diving headlong into his love of Hip-Hop,

filling notebooks, laying down rhymes.

Joe had many passions in life and loved a great many things: disc golf, horseshoes, cooking, hot tubbing,

music, sports, nostalgia, Puckamania (DX 4 Life!), his cockatiel Petey. He was an artist, an athlete, a

collector, a deep thinker, a practical joker, a loyal friend. But more than anything, he was a family man. He

loved his family with abandon, and no one more fully than his daughter Kynzlee. From the moment of her

birth, she became the center of Joe's entire world, his gravitational pull, his tag team partner. A loving

father who celebrated her every waking moment of the day.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his daughter Kynzlee

(and her mother Alysa), his father Chuck (Lisa), his mother Danielle (Herb), his brothers Charles

(Deborah) and Nick (Kelly), siblings Miranda (Andy), Blake (Hannah), and Laura, as well as a multitude of

aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who miss him dearly.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Thursday, November 21 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday from 3:00-5:45 PM. A private (family only) service will be held following the celebration of life.
