Obituary

Jon Sprader of Belgium formerly of Grafton passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 25 2014. He was 28 years old. Jonathon was born in Milwaukee on April 28 1986 son of Michael and Theresa (nee Brieno) Sprader. He grew up in Grafton and had attended Grafton High School before joining the US Army. On January 13 2006 he was united in marriage with Melissa Hanke at Hopkinsville KY near Fort Campbell. Jon was a proud veteran of the Iraq War where he had served two tours as a Combat Medic. Following his service he took a position as a phlebotomist with the Wisconsin Blood Center in West Bend. Jon enjoyed being around people telling jokes and making others laugh. He liked skateboarding and was very artistic. He enjoyed drumming drawing writing and reading spending time with his family and was a member of American Legion Post 412 in Belgium. He is survived by his wife Melissa Sprader of Cedarburg his father Michael Sprader and mother Theresa (Tom) Sprader-Trinh both of Belgium and brother Preston Sprader of Port Washington. He is further survived by mother-in-law Victoria (Scott) Hanke of Grafton sister-in-law Elizabeth Hanke of Cedarburg and brother-in-law Justin Hanke of Menomonee Falls grandparents Jim Mary Sprader of Belgium and Linda (Steven) Van Den Heuvel of Wausaukee. Other survivors include aunts and uncles: Jim (Sandy) Sprader of Metarie LA Rhonda (Tim) Bleichwehl of Grafton Kelvin Sprader of Belgium Phil Sprader of Sheboygan Connie (John) Hoff of Plover Veronica (Ty) Rankin of New Orleans LA and Michael (Mary) Brieno of Littleton CO cousins other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Rogers Brieno grandmother Reva Sprader and brother-in-law Adam Suggs. Funeral Services will be held at 8PM on Thursday August 28th at the Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove the following day. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8PM. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
