John W. Abts nbsp; Mr. John Abts of Saukville formerly of Grafton and Milwaukee passed away Saturday morning November 13 2010 at his home. He was 69 years old. John was born October 16 1941 in Milwaukee the son of Arthur Abts and Ruth Winkenwerder Landt. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and the United States Army. On October 12 1963 he was united in marriage with LeAnn Ehlert in Thiensville. John worked for over 37 years as a purchasing manager at Telsmith and Paper Machinery Corporation both in Milwaukee. He retired from PMC in 2000. John was a member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grafton and the Certified Purchasing Managers Association. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. John is survived by his wife LeAnn of Saukville and their three children: Lisa (Mark) Kopplin of West Allis Jeff (Dawn) of Fredonia and Jason (Randi) of Hartland. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Anthony Hannah Zachary Jordon Andrew and Ryan one brother Thomas (Sally) Abts of Celebration FL mother-in-law Dorothy Ehlert of Cedarburg sister-in-law Susan (Thomas) Mayer of Mequon brothers-in-law Ronald (Shirley) Ehlert of Bellview and Joel (Miriam) Ehlert of Frankenmuth MI nieces nephews cousins other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services will be held at 4PM on Friday November 19 at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church 1332 Arrowhead Road in Grafton. Pastor Mark Wagner will officiate. John will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday afternoon from 1-4PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
