John F. Schulz, age 82, of Cedarburg passed away at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. John was born on January 23, 1934 at home in Milwaukee to Rudolph and Helen (nee Nejedlo) Schulz. John was united in marriage to JoAnn (nee Carlson) on December 15, 1956.
John is survived by his wife JoAnn: two sons Michael (Jeri) and Bradley (Kathy): grandchildren Kari, Brian, Austin "A.J.", Carter and Jason: step grandchildren Adam (Christine) and Eric (Fiancé Nicole) Halla: Step Great-Grandson James Halla: sister –in-law Janice Budzinski. John is preceded in death by his parents: brother Robert: sister-in-law Helen (Ernst) Beilfass: brothers-in-law Carnot "Coke", Donald (Ruth) Carlson and Gerald Budzinski.
John retired from Continental Can Company where he worked since the age of seventeen. He started out with the company as a janitor, and with his strong work ethic, John worked his way up to Plant Manager. John enjoyed raising Purple Martins, and was a lifelong member of the Metro Milwaukee Model Railroad Club.
A Memorial Service to celebrate John's life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg at 3:00 PM with Pastor Randy Raasch officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
