John Paulin, age 92 years of Cedarburg died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. He was born June 23, 1923 in Port Washington, son of the late Randolph and Mathilda Miller Paulin. John served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. On November 24, 1960, he married Eunice Rothweiler at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. She preceded him in death in 2014. John taught Latin at Cedarburg High School for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He was a member of Cedarburg American Legion Peter Wollner Post and Ozaukee County Retired Teachers Association. He formerly served on the Cedarburg Library Board for 8 years and also drove the senior van for the Cedarburg Senior Center. Loving uncle of Michael A. (Pamela) Henning Sr., Mary Beth Brown, Shelley Schermer, Kurt Henze and Randy Paulin and family, cherished great-uncle of Michael A. (Carrie) Henning Jr., Davidjohn Brown and Jessica (Rick) Eddy. Further survived by 10 great-great-nieces and –nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Eunice, parents, brother Donald Paulin and niece Robin. Funeral Thursday, March 10, 6 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. Burial with full military honors will take place at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6PM, with a Military Walk-Through at 5:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis Borgia Parish or Cedarburg Public Library appreciated.
