John A. Lima Mr. John Lima of Maple Street in Port Washington passed away at Kindred Hospital in Greenfield on Saturday December 10 2005 after a battle with cancer. He was 54 years old. John was born in Milwaukee in November 6 1951 the oldest child of Joseph and Doris Lango Lima. John moved to the Port Washington area in the late 70's. He was an industrial appraiser for Accuval in Mequon. John was a proclaimed Jamaican at heart was always full of life and had a strange sense of humor. He liked to play cards was a good musician and enjoyed listening to Blues music. He was a prestigious member of the Track- Side Softball team and bowled in a league at Willie's Wish. John also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his best friend and dear companion Lora Schmidt Holst of Port Washington her children Cara (Scott) Callies of Port Washington and Jesse Holst of Madison and grandchildren Zachery Dommer and Derrick Callies his father Joseph Lima of Goleta CA 4 brothers: Michael (Cynthia) Lima of Franklin James Lima of Anchorage AK Robert (Kate) Lima of Goleta CA and Andrew (Sonja) Lima of San Diego and 1 sister Jo Ann (Eric) Van Cleave of Cottonwood AZ. He is further survived by 6 nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. A Gathering of Friendship will be held Friday December 16th from 5-8PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. Father James Ernster will hold a brief service at 7:30PM. Friends are asked to bring a story to share.
