John Samuel Knuth of Cedar Grove passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born the beloved son of Arno and Gertrude (Henrich) Knuth on December 11, 1936,in Sheboygan. John met Sandra Groth and fell in love. They wed on June 30, 1962, and together raised three beautiful children.

John was born and raised on his family's farm which he continued to run for several years. He resided there until shortly before his passing. John worked for How Dea Service Center as a mechanic. He later worked for Kohler Company in maintenance while simultaneously starting Agri-Liquid Services with two friends. He ultimately retired from Simplicity as a welder after 27 years of dedicated service.

John's funeral service will be held in the church he helped build in the 1950's. He always had a special place in his heart for St. Paul's Lutheran Church. John enjoyed fishing with friends and family, especially in Canada. He was a talented woodworker and liked tinkering around the house. He even installed a pipe organ in their home with friends, for his wife. John and Sandra enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing and roller skating as a family. He personally coached his sons in baseball for little league. Above all, John treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

John is survived by his devoted children Bonnie (Brian) Wetzel, Johnnie Knuth, and David (Angela) Knuth; grandchildren, Alexis (Jeremy) Lane, Brett (Melissa) Gramlow, Ian (Anri) Knuth, Misha Knuth, Samuel Knuth, and Daniel Knuth; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Paisley, Emily, Cameron, Anders, Millie, and Lyle; brother and sister-in-law Robert Groth and Shirley Slavick. He is further survived by numerous relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra, honorary sisters Mary and Lydia and other close relatives that passed before him.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 705 Grand Ave., Random Lake, WI 53075. The family will receive relatives and friends at church from 11:00-12:30pm. John will be laid to rest at St. Paul's/Heritage Hills Cemetery, Random Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church/Random Lake or Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
