John "Jake" I. Mueller of Port Washington passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was 81. John was born on July 6, 1936 to Frederick and Minnie (nee Sauer). He was united in marriage to the late Joan Anderson on July 3, 1954 in Norman, OK and together they had four children.
Jake spent many mornings eating breakfast at River's Edge Restaurant in Saukville. He and his cousin Bobby enjoyed weekly outings together. Jake also enjoyed managing Green Bay Packer's pools and regular trips to different casinos. Evenings were spent watching his favorite television shows such as NCIS, Criminal Minds and Bull. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Simplicity Manufacturing after 37 years of dedicated service.
John is survived by his children, John (Shelly) Mueller, Randy Mueller, Cindy (John) Paulus, and Ricky Mueller; grandchildren, Nathan Mueller, Kyle Mueller, Amanda Mueller, Chelsea Mueller, Melanie Paulus, Ashlie Winslow, Courtnie Mims and Brittanie Martin; eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Frederick (Carol) Mueller and James (Janet) Mueller; special relatives, Bobby (Alice) Sauer, Linda (Don) Bartels; special friend, Candy Kratz; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan; sisters, Deloris Mueller and Joyce Kartheiser; brothers, Jerold Mueller and Ronald Mueller; special Aunt Marcella Cardiff.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, WI) with Rev. John E. Klieve presiding. A visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME from 10:00AM until the time of Service. Interment and military honors will take place at Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
