Mr. John Fieber, of Northwoods Road in the Town of Port Washington, passed away at his residence Saturday morning, November 5, 2016, following a battle with leukemia. He was 67 years old. John was born on March 21, 1949, son of Edward and Gertrude Hubing Fieber. He grew up in the Dacada area and attended local schools, graduating from Random Lake High School in 1967. John was united in marriage with Marie Arendt at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lake Church, on April 15, 1972. The couple settled in Port Washington and started their family.
John worked as a Project Engineer at Modern Equipment for many years, later taking a position with Kuttner North America. He retired in 2010 as Executive Vice-President. Mr. Fieber enjoyed working on classic cars of all kinds, and was most recently rebuilding a 1930's Chevy delivery sedan. While his children were younger, he was involved with Boy Scout activities, going on many High Adventure biking and canoeing trips.
Mr. Fieber is survived by his wife, Marie, their three children: William Fieber of Cedarburg, Elizabeth (Eric) Wurtz of Germantown and Nicholas (Stephanie) Fieber of Port Washington and four grandchildren: Luke, Maxwell & Emmett Wurtz, and Analiese Fieber. He is further survived by brother Joseph (Melinda Carter) Fieber of Columbus Heights, MN, sisters Marilyn (Tom) Berlin of Sheboygan Falls, Phylis (Terry) Gencius of Kewaunee and Joyce (Dennis) Kenealy of Erin, sister-in-law Carol Arendt of Milwaukee and brother-in-law Terry (Corinne) Demler of Sheboygan Falls, other family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister LuAnn Demler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 9, at St. John XXIII – St. Peter of Alcantara Chapel, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. Mr. Fieber will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, on Tuesday, November 8th from 4-7PM and again on Wednesday at CHURCH from 11AM until services at 12PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Blood Center, or donating blood in John's name.
