John E. Weyker of Wisconsin Veteran's Home at King and long time resident of Port Washington passed away Saturday July 16 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He had just turned 70 years old. John was born July 15 1941 in Port Washington the son of Edgar and Viola Lanser Weyker. He graduated from Port Washington High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. John had worked at Simplicity the post office and for the City of Port Washington Street Department. He was a member of the American Legion Post #470 and a former member of the Port Washington Fire Department. John is survived by a son John brother Tom Weyker of Sturgeon Bay niece Noelle of Dubuque IA aunts Mary Poull of Port Washington Grace Lanser of Belgium and Clara Weyker of Dacada numerous cousins other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar Weyker and Viola Weyker Schreiner. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday August 1 in the chapel at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington with full military honors following. The family will receive visitors at the chapel on Monday morning from 11-11:30AM. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
