John A. Gaffney Jack Mr. John Gaffney of Cedarburg and formerly of Thiensville and Milwaukee passed away early Saturday morning June 30 2012 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was 82 years old. John was born May 2 1930 in Milwaukee the son of Thomas Gaffney and Marian Harrison. He was a Notre Dame graduate and taught at many high schools as a Holy Cross Brother. For over 15 years he taught career counseling at Port Washington High School. He is survived by 2 brothers: Norman Gaffney of Baraboo and William (Molly) Gaffney of Milwaukee and 1 sister: Shirley Miller of Thiensville. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 14 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington with Father James Ernster officiating. John will be laid to rest at St. William's Cemetery in the Town on Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:30-11:00AM.
