** UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION**

Joel C. Entringer of Random Lake, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was 88 years old.

Joel was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on May 5, 1937 to Roman and Viola (nee Schroeder) Entringer. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School, Class of ’55, before earning his undergraduate degree in Economics at UW Milwaukee.

On June 25, 1960, Joel was united in marriage with Shirley Schukow at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple settled in Random Lake and started their family. Joel started a 37-year career with Badger Tag & Label Corporation in 1961, and remained involved and served as a consultant until his death.

Joel had a passion for the arts. He enjoyed reading, film, theater, concerts, and fine dining. He learned to sail with his colleague and friend, Jim Thiel, purchasing a sailboat together with Joel’s son. He also enjoyed exercising every day, except Sunday, growing Bonsai trees, flying RC airplanes, and attending seminars at Bjorklunden in Baileys Harbor in pursuit of knowledge of all kinds. He had a deep love for the Door County area, and enjoyed vacationing there with his family and friends.

Shirley proceeded Joel in death in 2010. A few years later he met Rosalie Hartmann and formed a special relationship lasting until his death. Rosalie has become part of the family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Joel Entringer (Terry) of Burnsville, MN, daughter Jane (Dan) Giese of Random Lake, and grandchildren Samantha Giese, Aaron Giese (fiancée Justine), and Joshua Entringer (Taylor). He is further survived by sisters Joanie (Thomas) Klauck and Judith Roeck, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Joel is also preceded in death by his daughter Joanne and grandson Nicholas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM on Thursday, March 5th, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Mary’s Chapel, 230 Butler Street, Random Lake. Father Don Thimm will preside. The family will receive guests at the church on Thursday from 1PM until Mass begins at 2PM.

Joel will be laid to rest beside his wife and daughter in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Random Lake, during a private family service.
