Mrs. Joan E. Stephan Mrs. Joan Stephan of Port Washington passed away at Harbor Cove on the afternoon of Saturday July 9 2005. She was 86 years old. Joan was born on November 2 1918 in Wabeno to William and Matilda Miljour Vallier one of twelve children. On October 17 1935 she was united in marriage with Roy Stephan at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wabeno. After his tour with the US Army the couple moved back to Wisconsin first to Plymouth and Saukville before settling in Port Washington in 1967. Roy preceded Joan in death in 1984. Mrs. Stephan had worked as an assembler at Northern Signal in Saukville until they closed then continued her career at Control Products in Grafton retiring in 1989 after more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington and enjoyed sewing playing sheepshead gambling junkets to the casino in Green Bay and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Teri (Gerard) Dylak of Port Washington and 1 granddaughter Jessica (Chad) Hoffman of Fredonia. She is further survived by 2 sisters: Grace Wesoloski and Marie Wesoloski both of Green Bay 1 brother Donald Vallier 2 sisters-in-law: Connie Stephan of Saukville and Doris (Attillo Bepo) Passini of Fond du Lac nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and eight brothers and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday July 13 6PM at St. Peter of Alcantara Church Father Allan Sommer will officiate. Joan will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH Wednesday from 4-6 PM . br /Service:br /6:00 PM at 1800 N.
