Joan Carol Shilts, 74, of Cedar Grove, passed away on February 21, 2021 at home. Joan was born on October 21, 1946 in Eau Claire Wisconsin to Irving and Esther Thompson. Joan was a beautiful soul that shined on us all with her love and kindness. She worked at the Musebeck Shoe Company in Cedar Grove as well as the Good as New Shop. She had a wonderful life she shared with her late husband, Chuck, and her son Sean. Joan loved to sew and spend time in her garden, talking on the phone with friends and family and going shopping! Joan is survived by her son Sean Shilts, his significant other Trixie Heidemann, sisters Patricia 'baby sister' Boe, (Keith), Judith Shepard, brothers Larry Thompson and James Thompson (Joanne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were her beloved husband, Charles, her sister Nancy Jackson, and her parents, Irving, and Esther Thompson We would like to Thank Trixie for taking on the role of caregiver for Joan and Sharon S. Richardson for Care and Comfort of Joan during her last days and for helping us make her wish come true of staying in her home as she asked. A Celebration of Life for Joan will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at the Town of Holland Hall W3005 Cty. Rd. G Cedar Grove, WI 53013.
