JOAN R. STEARN Mrs. Joan Stearn of 11th Ave. in Grafton formerly of 44th St. in Milwaukee passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her three children and her beloved flowers early Thursday morning June 21 2012. She was 72 years old. Joan was born in Milwaukee on November 9 1939 daughter of Luke and Estelle Teriaca Zurawski. On May 3 1962 she was united on marriage with Clyde W. Stearn. The couple settled in Thiensville and raised their family. In 1988 they moved back to the Milwaukee area. Mr. Stearn preceded her in death in 1991. Joan continued to live in Milwaukee until recently when she moved to Grafton to be closer to her daughters. Mrs. Stearn enjoyed flowers and gardening. In her past she enjoyed listening to music dancing and exploring on roadtrips with her husband. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her beloved cats. She is survived by her three children: Mark Stearn of Wyocena Tracy (Colin) Bould of Grafton and Debra (David ) Ansay of Port Washington. She was a loving Grammy to three beautiful grandchildren: Taylor Ian and Allison. Joan is further survived by cousins other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband and 1 brother Luke Zurawski. A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM on Thursday June 28th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington ( 1600 W. Grand Ave.). The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6PM. Joan will be laid to rest later beside her husband at Valhalla Memorial Park Milwaukee.
