Joan R. Brewer Mrs. Joan Brewer of Saukville formerly of Kentucky and Harbor Village in Port Washington passed away December 26 2012 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was 79 years old. Joan was born on April 13 1933 in Madawaska Maine daughter of Donat Bernaiche and Edith Chassie. She was united in marriage on March 1 1952 to Walter Brewer Jr. in Chicopee Massachusetts. He preceded her in death in 2010. The couple resided in Kentucky for over 30 years where Joan was awarded her honorary GED when she was in her mid 70's. In 2010 she moved to Port Washington where she lived at Harbor Village and made many friends. After leaving Harbor Village she moved to Saukville to be closer to her son Bruce. While living there she attended St. John's Adult Day Care in Lakefield where enjoyed socializing with new friends and participating in activities. Joan loved going to flee markets rummage sales and being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son Bruce (Joy) of Saukville daughter Barbara (Ed) Poisson of Le High Acres FL 5 grandchildren: Jessica (Chase) Hawk of Fredonia Dakota (Amanda) Brewer of Stoughton Noel (Dr. Tim) Marsho of Appleton Winter and Heath Niemi of Florida. She is further survived by her 14 great grandchildren: Angus Ostara Freya and Torrin Nicneven Leif Spitzer Damon and Haley Brewer Josephine Emmit and Amelia Marsho Haley Brianna Brock and Kylar Niemi her brother Phillip Bernaiche of Houlton ME nieces nephews close friend Nancy other relatives and friends. Joan is preceded in death by her husband Walter Jr. her son Byron and her brother Peter Bernaiche. According to Joan's wishes private family service will be held.
