Joan P. Blasczyk nbsp; Mrs. Joan Blasczyk of Cedar Valley Road in the Town of Fredonia passed away at her residence early Friday morning April 22 2011.nbsp; She was 91 years old.nbsp; Joan was born in Milwaukee on April 9 1920 daughter of Bernard and Anna Szulta Kuszewski.nbsp; She attended school in Milwaukee and graduated from Riverside High School in 1938.nbsp; On January 28 1943 Joan was united in marriage with Henry Blasczyk in Reno NV.nbsp; The couple settled back in Wisconsin to raise their family.nbsp; While living in Milwaukee again Joan was secretary for Dr. Oswald for over 20 years.nbsp; They later moved to Fond du Lac and after Henry's death in 1978 Joan moved to Fredonia to be closer to her children.nbsp; Mrs. Blasczyk was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington where she enjoyed attending services.nbsp; An avid reader Joan was still devouring 3 books a week up until very recently. She loved walking however finally took her drivers test and received her license at the age of 60.nbsp; Joan was a bird lover and would spend much time watching the birds in the front yard of the house.nbsp; Mrs. Blasczyk liked spending time with her friends going to lunch and visiting.nbsp; ldquo;Mrs. B.rdquo; was also known to many of her childrenrsquo;s friends grandchildrenrsquo;s friends and family friends as ldquo;Grandmardquo; and was known as the ONLY expert on laundry with valid advice.nbsp; nbsp;She is survived by her children: John (Rose) Blasczyk of Fredonia and Joseph ( Natasha) Blasczyk of Milwaukee eight grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by her husband Henry their son Dennis sister Cecelia and 3 brothers: Henry Ray and John Kuszewski.nbsp; Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Monday April 25th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington.nbsp; Deacon Tom Surgis will officiate.nbsp; Joan will be laid to rest the following day beside her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.nbsp; The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Monday from 5-7PM.nbsp; br /Service:br /p7:00 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
