Joan M. Eippert, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 73 years old.
Joan was born on May 14th, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late John and Beulah (Henderson) Hess. She graduated from Mequon Homestead High School with the class of 1969.
On May 13th, 1974, Joan was united in marriage to the love of her life Karl Eippert. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and close friends.
Throughout her life, Joan touched the hearts of many with her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication to her role as a Registered Nurse. She obtained an Associate's Degree and went on to become the Director of Nursing for Laureate Group, where she had a significant impact on the lives of her patients, their families and colleagues.
She was an avid Coca-Cola collector for over 30 years, and a proud member of the Badger Chapter Coca-Cola Collectors Club. Joan always cheered on all Wisconsin sports, from Packers football to Brewers baseball. She had many fond memories of trips to see her beloved Packers on the road in various cities. Joan was passionate about music and found happiness in attending live concerts.
Her relationship with her children and grandchildren was very important to her. Recent vacations to Walt Disney World, Gatlinburg and Branson with the children and grandchildren helped to provide a lifetime worth of memories.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Karl, her children, Jason (Natalie), Jon (Jennifer), Chris (Katie) and Heidi (Berto) Martinez, her grandchildren, Kenzie, Danny (Savannah Norwood), Reagan, Nolan, Kendall, Matthew, Emma, Will, Ella, and Addison, along with her loving dog Jordy. She is further survived by her brother John, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Beulah Hess and brother Robert Hess.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 6:00 PM, at Grace Lutheran Church, 715 6th Ave, Grafton. The family will greet friends and relatives from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery in Grafton.
The family would like to thank Joan's cancer team at the Aurora Cancer Clinic in Grafton for their care over the last seven years, and the kind and compassionate staff at Aurora Hospice and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to the Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club or Shriners Hospital for Children.
