Jerry Lee Packard formerly of Fox Point and Port Washington died on Friday, September 3, 2021 after a two month illness at the Village Pointe Commons Memory Care Facility in Grafton, WI. He was born in Portage, WI on August 29, 1941. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Sara of 56 years, two sons Jay (Lynn) of Mequon, WI and Tim (Maria) of Alpharetta, GA; four grandchildren Colin, Campbell, Madeline, and Hayden Packard. He is further survived by one sister Jane Cruckson of Muskegon, MI and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Jay and Jessie Packard and two sisters Janet Scholes and JoAnn Timme. Jerry graduated from Portage High School in 1960 and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 1964. After teaching for four years, he became a salesman and continued in sales until he retired in 2014. Jerry was a long standing member of the Milwaukee Curling Club and attended First Congregational Church in Port Washington. Before his stroke in 2014, Jerry was an avid golfer, curler and fisherman and remained loyal to those sports until the day he died. He will be remembered by many as a fun-loving guy who always had a humorous story to go with every situation. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Aurora Hospital in Grafton, Highlands at New Castle in Mequon, Village Pointe Commons Memory Care in Grafton, and Horizon Hospice. A visitation will be held at Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 3:00-5:00PM with a service immediately following. Pastor Scott McLeod will preside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Milwaukee Curling Association (PO Box 169, Cedarburg, WI 53012) or the organization of your choice.
