Jerry W. Kresse of Saukville, WI., age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born to George and Pearl (nee Cashin) Kresse on October 16, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI. Jerry married Christine Krueger on October 6, 1984 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Jerry and Christine were blessed with two boys.
Jerry was a helpful and loving husband, father, brother, friend, and neighbor. His strong and capable hands began their work first as an auto body technician with Newman Chevrolet in Cedarburg and later he proudly served his community through his work with the Ozaukee County Highway Department. Gifted with mechanical ability he continued to use these skills to help neighbors and friends with their vehicles and spent countless hours building, welding, and painting many projects.
He enjoyed spending weekends relaxing up north at the lake cottage. Jerry had a great love for all "critters" especially his pets and the wild birds he attracted to his deck feeders. He has left us all too soon and will be sorely missed by his family and all those who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his wife Christine, his two sons Kyle and Jeffrey (Julia Curtis) Kresse; brother, Joe (Jan) Kresse; sister, Kerry Kresse; mother-in-law, Delores Krueger; siblings-in-law, Ralph (Jeanne Kettner), Kathy (Dave) Hartwig, Joanne (Mark) Marschke, Mike (Penny) Krueger, Carol (Terry) Johnson, Barb (Jim) Clavette and Gerald (Gloria) Krueger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Pearl and his father-in-law, Ralph Krueger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00PM at St John XXIII Congregation Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville on Thursday, February 9, 2017 with Father Pat Wendt presiding.
