Obituary

JEROME G. KIMLA Shorty Mr. Jerry Kimla of Center Street in Saukville passed away at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee Campus in Mequon surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday evening May 24th 2006. He was 75 years old. Jerry was born in Newburg on May 29 1930 son of George P. and Tillie Zeldinger Kimla. Mr. Kimla served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. After returning from the service he was united in marriage with Myrtle Betz at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington on October 9 1954. The couple settled in Saukville and raised their family. Shorty worked as a Materials Handler at Simplicity in Port Washington for 35 years retiring in July of 1993. In his time there he only missed day of work. After his retirement he worked for Ernie Von Schledorn and later Enterprise as a driver. Mr. Kimla was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville and IAM Local 1430. Shorty was well known for his good sense of humor and enjoyed playing jokes on his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida fixing lawnmowers and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Myrt of Saukville and their 2 daughters: Therese Terri (Kevin) Schmid of West Bend and Deborah Deb (Lloyd) Kreif of Fredonia. He was the proud grandpa of Nicole and David Schmid of West Bend and Alex Kreif of Fredonia. He is further survived by 1 brother Eugene Eutch Kimla of West Bend 1 sister Regina (Art) Helm of Saukville nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson Eric Kreif 1 brother James Kimla and 1 sister Florence Geib. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 30th 7PM at Immaculate Conception Church 145 Church Street Saukville. Father Karl Acker will officiate. He will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery Newburg.
