Ms. Jennifer Schmidt of Belgium, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away at her home Tuesday afternoon, September 28, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family. She was 41 years old. Jennifer was born in Milwaukee on November 5, 1979, daughter of William and Susan Holzscheiter Schmidt. The family lived in Milwaukee but moved to Belgium in 1997 and Jenn began attending Cedar Grove High School, from which she graduated in 1998. After working as a bank teller, Jenn found her niche working as a Patient Service Representative at Aurora Cedar Creek Clinic in Grafton. She remained there until her fight against cancer became too overwhelming. Passionate about many things, Jenn loved making jewelry and spending time with her family (but especially her nieces and nephew). Her cats Queenie and Jada, and goldfish Charlie, were the lights of her life, and she had recently welcomed new kitten George. Jenn enjoyed shopping, and playing around with different makeup looks. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents Bill and Susan Schmidt of Belgium, sisters Jaclyn Schmidt of Belgium and Amy Schmidt of Plymouth, nieces Avareigh, Aliyana and Ariyah, nephew Harrison and grandmother Patricia (the late Robert) Schmidt of Port Washington. She is further survived by aunts Lee Ann (Mike) Buyeske of Port Washington and Erika (Steve) Treb of Milwaukee, uncle Jim Schmidt (special friend Pam Orlando White) of Eagle, cousins, other family and many friends. Jenn is preceded in death by her animal friends Queenie, Jada and Charlie, grandparents Otto & Rita Holzscheiter and uncle Mike Holzscheiter. Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM on Monday, October 4 at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., in Port Washington. Rev. Dimitri Mack will preside. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7PM. The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the Aurora At Home Hospice team for all of their wonderful care.
