Jeffrey Hayes, of Milwaukee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his residence. He was 35 years old.
Jeff was born in Milwaukee, son of Rodney Hayes and Joan Kessler Hayes. He grew up in Wind Lake and graduated from Muskego High School with the class of 2004. While in high school, Jeff was active on the football team, acted in some high school plays, and was very artistic. After high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he earned a bachelor's degree. After college, he proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Jeffrey was charismatic and made everyone around him feel loved. He was a very happy and easy-going guy, who lived life on his terms. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially dogs.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving mother Joan Hayes of Port Washington, four siblings: Jaclyn (Allen) Kuhl and Dana (Jason) Leistiko, both of Port Washington, Brian (Anne) Hayes of Milwaukee, and Lauren (the late Kyle) Bergendahl of Bay View. He is further survived by nine nieces and nephews: Nile, Sophia, Brian, Charlie, Francesca, Mona, Henry, Peter, and Hayes, other relatives and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Rodney.
A celebration of Jeffrey's life will take place on February 5, 2022, from 1-4 PM, at the Oak Barrel Public House, 1033 N. Old World Third St., Milwaukee, WI 53203.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Humane Society Milwaukee Campus.
