JEANETTE M. RYER Mrs. Jeanette Ryer formerly of Stanford Street in Port Washington passed away Tuesday November 22 2011 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. She was 92 years old. Jeanette was born on October 29 1919 in Sheboygan daughter of Louis and Cora Voigt Binder. She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1937. Jeanette was united in marriage with Alvin Beany Ryer on February 14 1942 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple settled in Port Washington. Jeanette worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Port for eight years before taking the position of clerk at Wisconsin Electric. She worked for 25 years retiring in 1982. Beany preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Ryer moved to Sheboygan in 2008. Jeanette was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Port Washington as well as a former member of the Port Washington Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling bowling cards bingo and the occasional casino junket. Mrs. Ryer is survived by many nieces nephews grandnieces and grandnephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Beany her parents and stepfather Eugene Gross sister Gladys Meyer brothers Victor and Roger Binder niece Jane Dortman and nephew Jack Meyer. Funeral services will be held at 6PM Tuesday November 29 at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Fr. Patrick Wendt will officiate. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Mausoleum Port Washington the following day. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-6PM.
