Jeanette H. Jelovnik entered into Eternal life on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the age of 99.
Jeanette was born on February 26, 1926, in Port Washington, Wisconsin to parents Joseph and Susan (nee Kuehelbeck) Jelovnik. She was a graduate of Port Washington High School in 1943, then attended Mount Mary College and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She taught at several catholic schools including, St. Mary's Catholic School in Port Washington and St. Francis Cabrini Catholic School in West Bend, for well for 35 years. Jeanette's passion for education and her commitment to her students left a mark on all the lives she touched.
Jeanette loved gardening, being outdoors and time in the kitchen. She was a devoted catholic who shared her faith and making connections with others. Jeanette was an avid member with the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Elm Grove, WI. Jeanette enjoyed her companionship with her cats and dogs.
Jeanette is survived by her nephew John "Sonny" Rickman of Kingwood, TX, close family friends Jackie Wilde, Ruth Schumacher, and David Zuydhoek. She is further survived by Sister Rosie Bonk, Judy Gregor SSND associate, and her cat companion Mewsie.
Jeanette was preceded in death by parents, brother Joseph Jelovnik, sisters Marie Pugh, Alice Richman, and Eunice Safford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg (1375 Covered Bridge Road Cedarburg, WI 53012). Her family and friends will receive visitors at church from 10:30AM until the time of Mass. She will be laid to rest at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.
