Jean F. Veen (formerly Webb) Mrs. Jean Veen age 84 years formerly of the Grafton area passed away peacefully at Harbor Club in Port Washington early Sunday morning October 5 2003. Jean was born November 8 1918 in Milwaukee daughter of Elwin and Margaret Flohr Mallory Jr. Jean raised her family in the Grafton area while managing the fabric department at the Ben Franklin store. She was united in marriage with Hardus Veen Oct. 5 1974 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. The couple settled in the Port Washington area. Mrs. Veen enjoyed sewing crafts traveling and collecting and refinishing antiques. She was also an avid reader. She is survived by her husband Hardus Veen her son Richard (Edie) Webb both of Port Washington daughter-in-law Lois (the late Charles) Veen of South Bend IN 7 grandchildren: Amy (Michael) Ciocarelli Karen (Andrew) Green Tara (Scott) Pressel Hardus (Laurie) Paul (Rebecca) Beene (Eva) and Dirk Veen and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by 1 sister-in-law Angeline Halla of Yankton SD nieces nephews other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Margie Scott and Carol Meyer. Funeral Services will be held at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington Tuesday at 7PM. Pastor John Klieve will officiate. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery Port Washington. The familt will receive visitors Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home from 4-7 PM.
