Jean Stickney, a longtime resident of Grafton, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of 82.
Jean was born in Langlade County, WI, the daughter of Desire and Frances (nee Schisel) Debroux. On July 21, 1962, she married Joseph Stickney at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo. After their marriage, the couple moved to Grafton where Jean worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a human resources trainer for over 31 years.
Jean was a vibrant member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and previously belonged to David Star Lutheran Church in Jackson. Her kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor and joy for life. Jean had a passion for reality TV and loved sharing delightful evenings out at dinner with her close friend Sherrie.
Jean is survived by her loving nieces Linda Steinberg, Renee Debroux, Doris Armeta, her loving nephew Gary Steinberg, her dearest brother Joseph Debroux, and two sisters-in-law Norma Debroux and Betty Debroux. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jean will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2 Pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St. Grafton. Rev. Luke Anderson will preside over the service. Friends and family are invited to a visitation for Jean on Wednesday, December 3rd at the church from 1 Pm until the time of services.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband Joe in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton.
