Jean Kirschbraun, (nee Clark), of Cedarburg, formerly of West Allis, passed away in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Lasata Care Center where she had been a resident. She was 93 years old.
Jean was born in De Pere, WI, on July 19, 1926, daughter of Roland Clark and Gladys Monroe Clark. She grew up in Greenleaf, WI, and graduated from East De Pere High School with the class of 1944. On January 29, 1949, she married Frank Kirschbraun at St. Francis Catholic Church in De Pere. The couple settled in West Allis to raise their family. Jean was very involved in her children's school activities including PTA and Girl Scouts. She did clerical work for Deloitte & Touche in Milwaukee for many years.
Jean was a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in West Allis, where she sang in the choir for over 40 years. Jean looked forward to meeting many close friends at her weekly bridge club. She also enjoyed weaving, knitting, sewing, creating homemade Christmas cards and collecting antiques. Frank and Jean also enjoyed many years of "DIY" projects. Together they also reupholstered and refinished furniture. A favorite project during Jean and Frank's later years was carefully crafting Santa Claus figures.
Jean is survived by an extended family that will miss her very much, including four children: Ginnie (Steve) Davis of Cedarburg, Beth (Gary) Flehmer, also of Cedarburg, Tom (Teresa) Kirschbraun of Chicago and Nancy (Matt) Wade of New Berlin, seven wonderful grandchildren: Adam (Audrey) Davis, Jonathan (Cecilia) Davis, Erin (Mike) LeMoine, Katie (Nick) Dmytrenko, Mark Flehmer, and Tom and Joe Wade, and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Kirschbraun, her brother-in-law Frank Roseberry, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, and siblings Adris Marcouiller, Katherine Cuene and Jacqueline Roseberry.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 5:00 PM at The Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. A time of gathering will take place at the Funeral Home from 3:30-5 PM.
