Retired elementary school teacher (35 years), Jean Ida Jessie of Port Washington, entered peacefully into her Heavenly home on Friday, August 30, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in the Township of Roxbury, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Florence Jessie on September 18, 1936. Jean graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1954. She later graduated from Platteville State University and began her lifelong career in education.

Jean's memory will be cherished by her twin sister Jane (George) Allam, as well as her brother Neal Jessie. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Hugh Buchanan, nieces Rebecca (Larry) Humphrey and Emily Buchanan, and grand-nephew Brandon Buchanan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Buchanan and brother Norman Jessie.

A Funeral Service for Jean will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, WI 53021. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00pm. Jean will be laid to rest at Prairie du Sac Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg or a charity of your choosing.
