Jean Eernisse, age 88 years of Port Washington, formerly of Cedarburg and Grafton, passed away Friday evening, November 13, 2015 at Lawlis Hospice in Mequon. She was born July 17, 1927 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Herbert and Erna (nee Theel) Tolksdorf. Jean grew up in Milwaukee, graduating from Washington High School and then attending beauty school. After moving to Grafton in 1948, she met Donald Eernisse and married him on October 1, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. He preceded her in death in 2009. Jean opened her first style salon in Grafton in 1949, later moving to Cedarburg where she owned and operated Jean's Style Salon for 50 years. Jean loved gardening, scrapbooking, traveling, card playing, and entertaining her family and friends. Survivors include her four children Donna (Jim) Gunderson of Wautoma, Pamela (Larry) Beverung of Saukville, Dennis (Connie) Eernisse of Cedarburg and John (Monique "Micki") Eernisse of Rome, TX, five grandchildren, Heidi, Chad, Adam, Meghan, and Ross, four great grandchildren, Kylie, Preston, Par, and Aiden, her brother Richard (Lynne) Tolksdorf of Prescot, AZ, brother-in-law James (Carol) Eernisse of Wabeno, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia (the late Verle) Nichols and infant twin brother John Tolksdorf. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 3 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton. Interment will be in Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg. Visitation at the CHURCH Tuesday from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church appreciated.
