Janet Petitjean, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 4, 2023, age 87, at St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon with her daughter by her side, after a long battle with renal failure.

She was born in Milwaukee to William and Helen (Stelzner) John. She graduated from North Division High School with the class of 1954, after high school she attended Layton School of The Arts, and became an avid photographer.

She had a passion for gardening, cooking and her love of everything in nature. Many would know her from her homemade pizzas.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Ann (David) Butler, grandchildren; Emily (Brandon) Hill, Katherine Butler (Brandon Singer), Lauren Fetzer (Danny Cortes), Alvah Butler, Natalie Butler, great-grandchildren; Ayden, Addison and Scarlet Hill, Addilyn Cortes, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard; daughter, Lisa; son, Martin, along with her brothers Arno and Edward John.

She is a sweet soul who will be missed dearly by family and friends.

We would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon, Da Vita in Cedarburg, therapy care workers at Lasata, Horizon Home Health Care and all the drivers at Ozaukee Taxi.

A private memorial service and reception will be held at a later date.
