Obituary

Janet M. Halleman, of Grafton, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was 76 years old.

Janet was born January 03, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Harold and Virginia (Gross) McCleery. Janet graduated from Homestead High School with the class of 1966.

On July 15, 1978, she was united in marriage to Richard Halleman, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. They spent over 45 years together.

Family meant everything to Janet, and she cherished the moments spent with her husband, Richard, and their three children, especially during their memorable family trip to California, Arizona, and Nevada. Janet was a lover of all animals and cherished her family dogs over the years.

She was a talented cook and baker, always excited to try new recipes. She found solace in the beauty of nature and enjoyed exploring the scenic wonders of Door County and Eagle River with her loved ones. She touched the lives of many people with her love and faith. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. She participated as a Sunday school teacher, youth group advisor and church secretary. She was always willing to help with any events.

Janet will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind; her husband Richard, children; Todd (Shannon) Barth, Shelley Wicke and Matthew (Kim) Halleman; her six grandchildren; Nathan, Alannah, Ashtyn, Brody, Evan, Layne and one on the way; her brother Robert (Chris) McCleery, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church, N60W6047 Columbia Rd, Cedarburg, at 11:00 AM. The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Janet's name to the Lawlis Family Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lawlis Family Hospice for their loving care for Janet in her final days.
