Janet E. Gutschse passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. She was 91 years old. Janet was born on September 12, 1930, to Arthur and Emma (nee Braaz) Gutsche in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Janet attended West Allis High School and graduated in the Class of 1959. She then went to UW-Milwaukee for a bachelor's degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for 29 years. Teaching young children was her life passion. Upon retirement, Janet moved to Rhinelander, where she spent time with her sister Joanet. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, painting, and creating art projects. Janet loved to watch professional football, especially the Green Bay Packers. She is survived by family and friends. Janet's wishes were to forgo a funeral service. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Majestic Heights Assisted Living and the staff at Horizon Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and care.
