James Leo Zabel passed away peacefully July 21st at Meadow Ridge in Baraboo, WI. Jim faced a number of health challenges in his latter years.

He is survived by his son John S. "Jack" Zabel of Baraboo, sister Mary Jane (Mark) Baumgartner of Cedarburg, WI, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Zabel.

Jim was born in 1951 in Beloit to Marion and Stan Zabel. He graduated from Beloit Catholic High School in 1969 and St Norbert College in 1973. He was on St. Norbert's golf team and lettered in golf. Jim won the city championship in his flight in college and won a number of championships at West Bend Country Club.

Jim worked in sales for a number of companies including Beloit Corporation and Weasler Engineering in West Bend.

Jim was terrific father to his beloved son Jack and a kind brother, brother-in-law and uncle to his sister and her family. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

A private celebration of life will take place at a future date.
