Following a long hard battle after a heart transplant, surrounded by his family, James Wesley Wagner, age 57, of Belgium, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Jim was born on September 1, 1964, to Robert and Carol Wagner, the third of four children. He lived most of his life in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He graduated high school in 1983, went directly into the work force, and eventually became a CNC machinist. In September of 1985, Jim was blessed with his daughter, Heather.
In November of 1987, Jim met the love of his life Michelle Gasser. On June 2, 2001, they were united in marriage. They enjoyed doing many things together, especially playing darts, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends.
Jim loved fishing, duck hunting, riding his motorcycle, going to up north and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a proud grandfather with a heart of gold. Jim was always there when someone needed him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Michelle Wagner; daughter Heather (Colin) Wiklin; stepdaughter Missy Watry; mother Carol Wagner; siblings Bob (Lori) Wagner, Jodie (Matt) Rowdon, Tammy (Rick) Shepherd; grandchildren Mason and Harper Wiklin, Julie Wangert; great-grandchildren Hazzell Howard and Leon Hedgecorth. Jim is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wagner.
There will be a Memorial service held at Christ the King Lutheran Church (420 Whitefish Road Port Washington, WI 53074) on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 6:00PM. The visitation will be from 4:00PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
