Obituary Written by Ozaukee Press James W. Thompson of Port Washington loved hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and cooking. "He put 95 years of life into 75 years. He did a lot of living," son-in-law Jeff Barber said. Mr. Thompson, 75, passed away at his home in Port Washington on Friday, May 12, from natural causes. He was born in Milwaukee on March 18, 1942 to Ellsworth and Roma Thompson. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and studied at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was a supervisor at Argonne National Laboratory and Fermilab in Illinois. In 1989 he moved to Wisconsin and worked at Roma's in Cedarburg until 2000. Mr. Thompson is survived by a daughter DeAnna (Jeff) Barber of Cedarburg; sons Tim of Cedarburg, Robert of Nebraska, Marshall of Florida; brother Neil (Barbara) of West Bend, grandchildren Hayden Thompson, Payton Thompson, Haley Barker; former wives Sharon Thompson of Port Washington and Victoria Lence Thompson of Florida. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at First Congregation Church in Port Washington. Pastor Jeff Suddendorf will preside. Visitation will take place at the church from 3 to 5 p.m.
